Lauro Cssae, Trocador - Ticket seller / Bus 422
The cobradores, "collectors" in French. They are in charge of selling tickets in the buses, they are posted just behind the drivers, and they take care of passing people through a turnstile once they have paid. Today, the carioca transport company is beginning to shun this job because it is becoming too expensive. Indeed, this service is becoming obsolete in front of the automation of the systems, inevitable evolution of a society that has to face a fairer labor law, and the salary increases that follow. At the heart of the news that triggered the demonstrations, and representative of the citizens' claims, the cobradores become an emblem of the mutation of the Brazilian society.
